CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

In the post-industrial wake that has gripped the Midwest of America, a cultural revitalization is occurring as towns and cities remake their identities. We are interested in the voices of these places, in the poets who have called them home.

Twyckenham Notes is an online journal that publishes solicited and unsolicited poetry. We are now accepting submissions for our inaugural issue.

TN is based out of South Bend, Indiana. In the post-industrial wake that has gripped the Midwest of America, a cultural revitalization is occurring as towns and cities remake their identities. We are interested in the voices of these places, in the poets who have called them home.

Simultaneous submissions are encouraged. Please notify us immediately via email if one (or more) of your poems has been accepted elsewhere. We accept previously unpublished work only.

Poets of all backgrounds are welcome to submit to TN. Poetry that promotes or glorifies racism, sexism, or homophobic ideals will be shredded.

We are not interested in overly experimental poetry in which the writer-reader connection is lost entirely. We need meaning. We want poetry with lifeblood and a current.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
~ Please send up to 5 poems in a single .doc or .docx file to twyckenhamnotes AT gmail DOT com
~ We prefer poems that fit on one page, but will make exceptions.
~ Include a cover letter with a third person bio and previous publications. For your submission to be read, the cover letter MUST include your name, mailing address, and email.
~ Use a standard font.

Twyckenham Notes acquires First North American Serial Rights and the right to archive your work online. If your work is subsequently published elsewhere (in a book of poems or anthology), please mention that it first appeared here. Past contributors should wait one year from the date of publication to submit again.

We look forward to reading your work!
