8 lines on a Zoom tour of the Cloisters

Her job was describing the flowers 
to us, the stone alcoves and unicorn tapestries,
to make us feel that we were walking
through the century-old corridors 
of the museum. When it was over, 
my laptop almost out of battery,
I looked outside 
at a slab of brick buttered with light.

TYLER DUNSTON is a poet, visual artist, and PhD candidate at the University of Michigan studying literature. He received his MFA in poetry from Boston University, and his poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Narrative, Nimrod International, Raleigh Review, and elsewhere.
